A tool with multiple purposes multiplies its worth to you when weight and bulk count, e.g., on the trail or in your pack. How's this for an example of an extremely versatile, light and compact item. For its weight, volume and range of uses, can you think of an item that tops it? Got one (or more) in your kit? Could make a lot of them out of an old retired cotton bedsheet for free.
